A few helpful answers to your frequently asked questions...
Q. DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTED TICKET PRICING FOR STUDENTS OR NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS?
While we do not offer special pricing for students or non-profits at this time, we continue to try our hardest to keep Social Summit ticket prices as low as possible and extend an affordable option to as many people as we can. As such, we are excited to be able to offer this 2.5-day conference with the most incredible speaker, panelist and keynote line-up we can muster for a much lower overall price than a number of comparable events and conferences.
We do, however, invite you to visit our Community page, where students, non-profits and start-ups can enter to win their way in (the draw for nine free full conference passes will be made on Nov. 15), or consider applying to take in the Summit as a volunteer or community ambassador.
Q. I'D LIKE TO PURCHASE TICKETS FOR MY TEAM TO ATTEND, BUT WE DON'T YET KNOW EXACTLY WHO WILL BE ATTENDING. CAN I USE MY NAME AS A PLACEHOLDER AND CHANGE THE NAME(S) LATER?
A resounding yes. Provided that you send us any changes no less than two weeks prior to the event (Nov. 11), we will be able to make them. Any changes sent after that aren’t guaranteed to be processed, and, while you will of course still be guaranteed entry, your welcome package may have the wrong name on it. Please send any attendee changes to email@example.com and we’ll get it done.
Q. I CAN'T SEEM TO LOCATE MY TICKET AND/OR RECEIPT. IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET ANOTHER COPY?
Absolutely. Send us a note to firstname.lastname@example.org and we would be happy to resend you all the necessary details.
Q. AT PREVIOUS SUMMITS YOU OFFERED SINGLE DAY TICKETS. WILL YOU BE DOING THAT AGAIN AT THE NOVEMBER 2015 EVENT?
We will not be offering single day tickets to November's Summit for two reasons. First, we need to carefully monitor and manage the number of tickets sold across both full days of the event (Nov. 26 and 27) so that neither of our theatres are over or undersold.
Second, we have designed the event to be of maximum benefit when experienced in its entirety, rather than for a single day. Having said that, if you are unable to attend both days of the Summit for any reason, we welcome you to gift your pass to a friend or colleague on the second day.
Q. WILL REFRESHMENTS BE PROVIDED?
We are very excited to extend a tasty lineup of perks, snacks and drinks to Social Summit attendees. With everything from morning cappuccinos and coffee courtesy of Rosso Coffee Roasters, to fresh cold-pressed juice from Cru, seasonal gelato from Fiasco, sweet treats from Crave and cold beer from Village, The Social Summit is shaping up to be unfathomably delicious.
Please note that lunch will not be included, but from the Globe Cinema's central location in Calgary's downtown core, there are dozens of nearby cafes and restaurants to grab a bite at.
Q. DO YOU OFFER TICKET REFUNDS?
Whatever your reason, if your request for a refund comes to us outside of the seven days prior to the event (so, on or before Weds, Nov. 18), we would be most happy to cancel your ticket purchase and give you a full refund. Past that date, however, we have secured our numbers, ordered attendee nametags, created your welcome kit and are off to the races – no refunds permitted. You are again most welcome to give your pass to someone else, however, should you be feeling generous and find a suitable (lucky!) candidate.
